Personal MBA – Chapter 2 “Marketing”

This chapter is quite efficient in explaining what marketing is and why it is important. You have to find prospects that will buy your product, whatever that may be. Qualification of your prospects, making sure they are the right people and you catch them at the right time, is tricky. It is important to follow through and make sure you deliver what the customer expects, your business reputation depends upon it.

My favorite part of the chapter was when he talked about “branding.” There are many sub-headers but branding did not get its own section. The reason? Branding is just a fancy way of referring to your reputation. You need to earn a good brand!
