The Wave

This is another stitching piece designed by Diane Hermann, who also designed Mayan Lightning.  It is a piece that uses a Bargello curve to follow the mathematical approximation of a wave washing up on shore:  f(x) = 5 sin x + 4 cos (2x + pi/3).   The embellishments along the shore of the foam and starfish give it an extra flair.
