My Favourite Fairy Princess

I’ve been quite busy this past month, but now life is settling down and into Spring! I have been working on a quilting piece called “My Favourite Fairy Princess” for an Exhibition with a theme of Reflections. My idea was to show a mirror, and in that reflection a girl sees herself as a Fairy Princess. There is a little girl who lives nearby who is a real life Fairy Princess. I brought her a dress and with her mother’s permission, I took her photo. The photo is printed onto fabric and covered in organza for the mirror effect. Yesterday I gave the “practice” piece to the little girl and her family, photo below. I also turned in my “final” piece for the Exhibition. I am not allowed to publish a photo of the final piece since it will be in the Exhibition soon. You can come to see it if you are in Ireland, details below.
